Tamil's London Summer festival 2016 (Kodai Vizha 2016) held yesterday

The annual Tamils Summer festival 2016 (Kodai Vizha 2016 in Tamil) was held yesterday (03) in London. The events organised by Valvettithurai welfare association (U.K) commenced at 0900 hours at GLYN School Sports Pavilion on Reigate Road.
The festival was said to be great success as expected, with participation of hundreds of people from UK and other neighboring European countries, amid prevailed pleasant weather conditions.
The Venue “Richardson Evans Playing fields” including Stage and the Marques had been magnificently decorated and well maintained by Valvettiturai Boys from the commencement of the event till completion.
Many events such as soccer tournament, (including a friendly match between Metropolitan Police and Tamil Warriors) cricket tournament, volley ball tournament, Tug of war and several Tamil traditional games such as 'Kabadi' etc were held simultaneously in the large field.
Organizers had arranged free Car park and entry was made free to all.
The events which lasted till 1900 hours, are said to have witnessed more than five thousands of people.
This remarkable sports festival among Tamils in London is being organized and hosted by the "Valvettithurai Welfare Association", since 2006 sucessfully.
