கின்னஸ் இல் இடம்பெறும் உலகின் மிகப்பெரிய கப்பலாக OOCL Hong Kong

உலகின் ஆகப் பெரிய கொள்கலன் கப்பலாக (world’s biggest container ship) அதிகாரபூர்வமாக பதிவு கின்னஸ் (Guinness World Records) இல் இடம்பிடித்துள்ளது OOCL Hong Kong என்னும் கப்பல். 21413 கொள்கலன்கள் (TEUS) கொள்ளக்கூடிய இந்தக் கப்பலின் நீளம் 400 மீட்டர் ஆகும். இது இலங்கையில் அமையும் மிகவும் உயரமான தாமரைக் கோபுரத்தை விட 50 மட்டர் உயரம் என்பது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

குறித்த கப்பல் ஹொங்கொங் ஐச் சேர்ந்த OOCL என்னும் கப்பல் நிறுவனத்திற்குச் சொந்தமானதாகும்.

குறித்த கப்பல் நிறுவனமே 'OOCL Japan' மற்றும் 'OOCL Germany' என்னும் மேலும் 2 மிகப் பெரிய கப்பல்களை தற்பொழுது கட்டி வருகின்றமை குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.
